The College of Nursing is seeking to employ a dynamic Registered Nurse for the position of Manager, Continuing Professional Development Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating a team approach and leading the expansion, direction, planning and evaluation of Continuing Professional Development Services and supporting all functions and staff of the service. In addition to managing the day to day operations of the service, the manager is responsible and accountable for ensuring that CPD underpins and supports the business directions and goals of the College and helps to grow the national profile of the College through activities in states and territories. The manager also provides support to the Director Professional Services for membership services and growth. It is desirable that the applicant be a Member of the College of Nursing, have a post graduate qualification in management or be working towards the same. Event management experience and willingness to undertake extensive intra and interstate travel will be favourably considered.
Essential criteria include but are not limited to:
• Registered Nurse with current practising certificate
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in education, management, or equivalent
• Demonstrated understanding of issues directly affecting the nursing profession and healthcare at both state and national levels
• Demonstrated understanding of educational processes
• Demonstrated successful management experiences in education services
• Demonstrated business skills in quoting, budgeting, sales and business planning development
• Demonstrated ability in customer relationship management
• Proven ability to facilitate project management
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with diverse external stakeholders and staff across College functions
• Demonstrated leadership of groups and projects and a commitment to continuous quality improvement at every level of work
• Advanced computer software skills (including databases), and working knowledge of Microsoft platforms
• Current drivers license.
Salary will be paid according to the Public Health System Nurses’ and Midwives’ (State) Award, Nurse/Midwifery Manager Level 4.
