Computer Searching
This service involves Library staff undertaking a search on behalf of a patron. Experts in searching use relevant databases such as CINAHL, Medline, PsychInfo, Austhealth etc to compile a list of references/citations and abstracts. Search results can then be collected in person, mailed, faxed or emailed. There is a fee for this service. In some cases a search which does not involve much of Library staff's time may be provided free of charge. This is always at the discretion of Library staff. Please download the search request form and fax or mail it to Library staff.

After search results are received the client has the option of searching for the e-journals in the A-Z Journal List </FullTextJournal/> , visiting the Library to obtain the articles in person or requesting Library staff to undertake the copying or printing on their behalf. There is a flate rate fee per article or book chapter for this service.'More details about the copying service are available at Photocopying and Printing Service.

Options for allowing patrons to undertake their own searching are discussed at the Database access or the Bibliographic databases areas of this site.
